Infratek awarded contract with Svenska Kraftnät
Infratek, with the business area Central Infrastructure has been awarded a contract with Svenska Kraftnät. The contract concerns the building of a 220kV substation in Bräcke outside of Sundsvall. The station will receive power from a wind park which will be built by Statkraft/SCA in the area.
This is a new start of supplying High Voltage substation projects for SVK, the former projects has strengthen customers trust to our capability as a supplier. Infratek has considerable expertise regarding the construction of facilities with voltage levels of 220-400 kV. This expertise is gathered in a Nordic department, and the delivery will be carried out using resources from Finland and Sweden.
The work will start in January 2012 and the substation will be completed in the spring 2013. The value of the contract is SEK 32 million.
According to regulations the other tenders have the right to lodge complaints for 10 days. The contract cannot be signed prior to the expiration of this period and prior to the evaluation of any complaints.
Svenska Kraftnät is 100 percent owned by the Swedish state. The company manages and operates the central grid in Sweden, and also the interconnectors to neighboring countries.
