Infratek builds superchargers for Tesla

Today Tesla opens six supercharger stations in Norway. Infratek has worked intensively throughout the summer building the stations, making it possible for Tesla owners to travel between the largest cities in Southern Norway.

Infratek got the prestigious project after becoming the leading supplier of quick chargers for electrical cars in Norway.

"We have worked hard to make this happen, and our competent staff have done an excellent job the last few months. We have built Tesla's supercharger stations at Dombås, Lillehammer, Aurland, Lyngdal, Gol and Brokelandsheia," Project Manager Thomas Moen in Infratek says.

The stations are an important part of the national charger infrastructure when more Tesla cars are hitting the roads of Norway.

"Infratek has done an impressive job getting the infrastructure for the supercharger stations up and running in a very short time frame," Communications Manager Esben Pedersen of Tesla Motors in Scandinavia says.

The last couple of years Infratek has carried out several similar projects; Step one of "Ishavsveien" with quick chargers between Oslo and the Swedish border at Svinesund, and stations between Oslo and Kristiansand for Grønn Kontakt. Infratek is also supplier of home chargers through the largest Nissan dealerships in Norway.

"Our advantage is that we have longstanding experience within electrical infrastructure and simultaneously we offer technical security solutions. That way we can offer our customers turn-key projects, and at the same time create synergy across our business areas," Business Developer Roar Haaland Johansen at Infratek says.
